LinkedIn DM formula
Clients needed divided by close rate gives required meetings. Required meetings divided by meeting-booking rate gives required positive replies. Required positive replies divided by reply rate gives the number of DMs to send.
| Goal | Formula | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Meetings needed | Clients / close rate | 4 clients / 25% = 16 meetings |
| Replies needed | Meetings / booking rate | 16 meetings / 25% = 64 replies |
| DMs needed | Replies / reply rate | 64 replies / 8% = 800 DMs |
What to improve first
For LinkedIn, list quality usually beats copy tweaks. Filter by role, company size, trigger event, geography, and likely pain. Then use a first message that gives the prospect a clear reason to answer without asking for a call too early.
